This article explains how to use Mixtape, and how to edit Mixtape projects using Ableton Live. For instance you could change channel levels or EQs, cut and edit audio sections of one track in case of mistakes, move the timing around, re-arrange sections of the mix, or even add in entirely new audio tracks or effects to the mix. You can do small edits, or great sweeping changes. This allows you to fix mistakes, or to edit separate parts of the project without affecting the entire mix. Mixtape records each channel of audio and depending on the hardware used, records automation such as fader or EQ movements. You can then open this Mixtape project up in Ableton Live allowing you to edit the recording with far more precision and detail than editing a simple stereo recording. Mixtape allows users to record a multi-channel mix in Scratch Live.
